WoW Shaman Guide-Quick overview

Are you new to shamans or just new to world of warcraft? If so you will be needing a WoW shaman guide.
To begin with only the Horde could play a shaman, but since the introduction of the Burning Crusade the Alliance also are able to play them.

A basic WoW shaman guide

The shaman is a hybrid class.
This means, the characters strengths will be decided by the talent tree specialization the player chooses.

Shamans can cause damage or they can heal. Totem use creates most of the shamans might.
Totems remain fixed to the spot they are placed, shamans can position 4 at at a time.
Alone or in a group, enhancement shamans in particular can cause maximum damage with their skill to dual wield weapons.

This is your WoW shaman guide to using your talents. Like the other classes shamans can access three talent trees, they are, restoration, elemental and enhancement. While initially you'll have to have a main focus, because of the double specialization you can choose two main talent trees and swap forwards and backwards as your situation calls for it.

Elemental

Like the druids balance tree, this one allows the shaman be a ranged caster. Be prepared to have to stop for mana replenishment regularly until you reach a high enough level that your mana regeneration picks up momentum.

Enhancement

This talent tree is superbly effective for soloing, and it focuses on maximizing the damage you can do.Combined with windfury weapon buff it's possible to blow through crowds quite rapidly.

Restoration

this talent tree focuses on healing.
It's helpful to those shamans who want to join raids and end game instances.
Mobs can be destroyed far quicker if you are leveling with a group and using this tree from the outset.
