Is Online Movie Rental the Right Alternative for You?

With all of the benefits that I'm seeing with my online movie rentals, I don't know why I waited so long to start. I'm using a 3-at-a-time movie plan, and I get to rent and view unlimited movies each month for one falt rate. Whenever I want a new movie, I send one back postage paid and a couple of days later a new DVD is in my mailbox. In this way, I control how long I keep movies and never have to worry about late fees.

Another part of the rental service that I'm finding very convenient is the video on demand. Every service is different, with Blockbuster even offering a dedicated box, but with Netflix, I can stream movies directly to my PC. This is a nice touch and it helps to complement my viewing habits.

Most online DVD rental services are simple enough: I head to the web site, load up a bundle of DVDs into my rental queue, and they try to send me a movie from the top of my queue. If it's already rented out, they move on to the next available movie. As long as I keep 20 or more movies in my queue, they always keep me stocked up with rentals.

This is a terrific time and money saver for me. I don't have to make the trip to the local rental store, worry about missed deadlines, and I always have a movie on hand when I want one. And I never come home with a bucket of popcorn and a Hershey's Overload!

Online movie rental is becoming progressively popular, so whether your choice is for mainstream DVD rental, independent rentals, or even online adult DVD rental, there are services out there that are ideal for you. For indie rentals, the most popular service is GreenCine, and Blockbuster and Netflix are battling it out for mainstream rentals.

Another factor that many don't realize is that these plans can also be very accommodating. For example, I was recently able to pause my Netflix subscription for three months, and Blockbuster was always very flexible with my frequent account upgrades and downgrades as my watching habits changed.
